National Women’s Day commemorates the courageous women who participated in the historic 1956 march to the Union Buildings in Pretoria, protesting against apartheid pass laws.

Their actions demonstrated what can happen when people stand together and make their voices heard.

Seventy years later, South African women continue making their voices heard across business, media, entrepreneurship, marketing, technology and countless other industries.

Women are building companies, launching brands, leading organisations, creating content and developing innovative ideas that contribute to South Africa’s economy and communities.
